Pampling takes three-shot lead with fast finish
Summary from United States, from articles in English
K.J. Choi figured the best way to learn to play golf was to study books by Jack Nicklaus and spend hours watching video of golf's greatest champion. (article 5) It was only fitting Choi celebrate the biggest victory of his career at the Memorial on Sunday with a handshake from Nicklaus that was as meaningful as the trophy. (article 5) Choi ran off four straight birdies on the front nine to take the lead, then finished with three clutch par saves from the bunkers and gallery to close with a 7-under 65, giving him a one-shot victory over Ryan Moore . (article 5) Nicklaus stood behind the 18th green and waited with open arms when Choi finished at 17-under 271. (article 5) He joined the leaders with a birdie from the bunker on the par-5 11th, just as Nicklaus and his grandson pulled up in a cart to watch. (article 2) Scott was at 12-under 132 in Dublin, Ohio, one shot ahead of Rod Pampling , who played bogey-free for a 68. (article 4) He made one big mistake, hitting a heavy 7-iron that tumbled off the front of the green and into the bunker on the par-3 16th, and his 12-foot par putt rippled over the edge. (article 4)
