The League of Women Voters of Howard County will sponsor a discussion on immigration with community leaders from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 20 in the Banneker Room of the George Howard Building, 3430 Court House Drive, Ellicott City. (article 5) Lakefront dancing Free dance instruction with music will be offered from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today under the People Tree at the Town Center lakefront, Columbia. (article 3) Greyhound picnic Greyhound Welfare, a rescue and placing group for former racing greyhounds, will hold its fifth annual picnic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Circle D Farm, 15535 Carrs Mill Road, Woodbine. (article 4) Tai Sophia Institute, a graduate school for wellness-based disciplines, will present a community program focusing on men's health from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the institute, 7750 Montpelier Road, Laurel. (article 1) The 16th annual Howard County Police Pace 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will start at 9 a.m. Sunday at the concession area in Centennial Park in Ellicott City. (article 7) The sessions will highlight college programs and services including Freshman Focus, Rouse Scholars, Silas Craft Collegians and Early Entrance, and will include discussion of financial aid.
