Clinton says Obama vulnerable during Pennsylvania debate
Summary from multiple countries, from articles in English
Mrs. Clinton won a close race in New Jersey, where voters said that the economy was the most important issue in deciding how to cast their vote, according to exit polls. (article 40) Democratic primary voters overwhelmingly said that a candidate's ability to bring about needed change was the most important factor in the way they voted, and those voters supported Mr. Obama in large numbers. (article 31) The state has 4.5 million registered voters, and in a measure of the interest the race has drawn, officials said that 93,000 people signed up in the five weeks before the Jan. 7 deadline for participation in the primary. (article 31) About half the voters surveyed said Mrs. Clinton would make the best commander in chief, and half said Mr. Obama would unite the country if he were to become president. (article 33) The majority of the Hispanic voters, who make up roughly 20 percent of the total vote, sided with Mrs. Clinton, according to the exit polls, while black voters overwhelmingly supported Mr. Obama. (article 34) WASHINGTON - Barack Obama said yesterday that voters are justifiably angry over high gas prices, the loss of manufacturing jobs, and other examples of economic insecurity, yet that is no reason to give up hope. (article 24)
