Stars have reigning champ Ducks on brink of elimination
Summary from multiple countries, from articles in English
(Chris Carlson/Associated Press) Three giveaways led to three Dallas Stars goals Thursday night in a 3-1 win over visiting Anaheim, which returns home for Friday's matchup (10:30 p.m. ET) on the brink of elimination. (article 4) Turco earned his fourth career postseason shutout and Dallas defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-0 in Game 1 of their first-round playoff series Thursday night. (article 3) The Ducks, who also kicked off the league's 91st season in London with a two-game set against the Los Angeles Kings, will begin the defense of their Stanley Cup championship at home against Dallas. (article 1) DALLAS - Both the Stars and Ducks will try to integrate important scoring forwards into Game 4 Thursday night, and either could have a significant influence on the game. (article 8) DALLAS - The Anaheim Ducks made a statement in a series where the team that wins the first home game will almost surely take control. (article 5) Anaheim scored three goals in the first 14:31, and then held on through a tough third period to clinch the win and to close within 2-to-1 in games. (article 5) If the Ducks can fight through Game 4 with a win Thursday at American Airlines Center, then they'll get a chance Friday at Honda Center to take control on home ice. (article 7)
