Hillary Clinton's 'Republican' tactics backfire in battle for Pennsylvania (U.S., 56 articles)
Taking a page out of presidential campaigns from years past, Obama embarked on a whistle stop tour today, campaigning by train across the southeastern part of the state. Leading in the popular vote, the number of states won and pledged delegates, Obama had hoped to wrap up the nomination earlier in the spring to begin the general election campaign against Republican Sen. John McCain. Asked a similar question about Clinton, Obama said "Absolutely and I have said so before" und a not-so-subtle dig at his rival who had previously declined to make a similar statement about him. Obama would slaughter McCain, say the pundits, who love citing the 1960 presidential campaign debates in which JFK faced off against Richard Nixon. USA TODAY WASHINGTON - Dozens of uncommitted superdelegates with sway over the Democratic presidential nomination say Pennsylvania's primary on Tuesday won't be the decisive factor in their choice between Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama. Media reports have said Clinton and her campaign have been quietly courting support, chiefly from Democratic superdelegates who could decide a close race at the party's convention, by arguing that Obama is not electable.

China rejects CNN's 'goons and thugs' statement (World, 20 articles)
American people are buying chinese goods everday, if Chinese are goons and thugs, does that mean American are idiots? If not, why would them buy goods made by goons and thugs? Obviously not. The government of Communist China IS comprised of a gang of goons and thugs, and nobody knows that better than the Chinese people. The Communist Chinese government endorses mandatory sterilization, theft of intellectual property, counterfeiting, suppression of free speech, suppression of religious freedom, and outright MURDER 132.

The visit highlighted a whirlwind day in New York that... more BENEDICT & BUSH MUCH IN COMMON By RICH LOWRY April 19, 2008 - Pope Benedict XVI came to America, his aides say, mainly to address the United Nations. Pope Benedict XVI came face to face Thursday with a scandal that has left lasting wounds on the American church, holding an unannounced meeting with several victims of sexual abuse by priests in the Boston area.

  • Hamas suicide bombers attack Israel-Gaza crossing; 13 hurt (World, 30 articles)
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli military over the last six months, but it was the high number of civilian casualties in the Israeli army operations over the last week that so shocked people in Gaza. The two Palestinians are considered terrorists by the U.S. government and Israel accuses them of masterminding attacks that have killed hundreds of civilians. Carter is the most prominent American to hold talks with Khaled Mashaal, whose Palestinian militant group claimed new legitimacy from the meeting along with two other sessions the Nobel laureate held with Hamas leaders in the Middle East this week.
African summit goes on without Mugabe - (World, 24 articles)
Zimbabwe s election officials, at the government's behest, began a partial recount on Saturday of disputed election results, while a human rights group accused members of the ruling party of running "torture camps" to punish opposition supporters. The country has yet to publish the results of its presidential election on 29 March, which the MDC opposition says was won outright by its candidate Morgan Tsvangirai. President Robert G. Mugabe devoted his first major speech since the unresolved election three weeks ago to denouncing whites and former colonial ruler Britain, an attempt to persuade Zimbabweans that their political and economic troubles stem from abroad.
