Summary from Canada, from articles in English
When the Penguins tanked the final game of the regular season against the Flyers, a lot of hockey people thought Pittsburgh might have been somewhat wary of facing the physical Flyers right off the bat. (article 3) PHILADELPHIA - One win away from their first Stanley Cup final berth in 16 years, the Pittsburgh Penguins are far removed from Michel Therrien's famous tirade just two and a half seasons ago. (article 1) On the night of Jan. 10, 2006, after a 3-1 home loss to the Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh's eighth defeat in 11 games since Therrien took over behind the bench, the former Montreal Canadiens head coach exploded. (article 1) Flyers' Braydon Coburn leaves the ice with help from trainer Jim McCrossin, left, and R.J. Umberger after being hit in the face by a puck in Game 2. (article 8) CAN RYAN SAVE THE FLYERS? Once upon a storied franchise history, the Flyers had a bumper sticker during their Stanley Cup years that read, " Only God Saves More Than Bernie Parent. (article 7) The question going into Game 3 is whether rookie defenceman Ryan Parent can fill the skate boot of Braydon Coburn, the second-half of the Flyers' top pairing with Kimmo Timonen.
