Add Darfur rebels to terror list, Sudan urges world

Sudan says more than 200 people died in Saturday's attack, in which more than 300 heavily armed rebel vehicles sped across 400 miles of desert to the western Khartoum suburb of Omdurman. (article 5) Sudan has asked the international community to list the Darfur rebel that led the weekend attack near the capital as a terrorist group. (article 7) The officer heading Darfur's peace force says Saturday's raid in which more than 220 people died will set the Darfur peace process back. (article 1) GEREIDA, Sudan The quasi-rebel group ostensibly controlling this desert town of displaced thousands is called SLM-Minni, which stands for Sudan Liberation Movement, Minni Minnawi faction. (article 3) The ragged column of rebels headed away from the scene of their attack near Khartoum, leaves a string of questions and uncertainty in its wake. (article 6)
