When a Landlord Won’t Return a Security Deposit
Summary from United States, from articles in English
AMy "professional advice" is probably as good or as bad as that of anyone else who is trying to predict when or even if the real estate market will bounce back. (article 3) She and her husband , Richard Eig, bought a house on a double lot in their Rockville neighborhood in September 2006, at the high-water mark for prices. (article 2) The family dropped the price to $448,750 three months ago, and still no bids, even though a house across the street sold recently for $455,000. (article 2) One of the best lessons I have learned from writing about all things rental-related is that choosing renting over homeownership is not a rejection of American ideals. (article 5) Long-term renters often decide to remain so to enhance the quality of their lives by not having to deal with home repairs or potentially risky or poor financial investments. (article 5) Before signing a lease, find out about such things as your landlord's track record with rent increases and timely maintenance, neighborhood crime statistics, and resident satisfaction. (article 5) Thirty days before the end of my lease, I gave notice to vacate and requested, in writing, the return of my security deposit and interest. (article 1)
