Fielder homers to help Brewers beat D'backs
Summary from United States, from articles in English
Johnson (4-2) broke a tie with Roger Clemens to take sole possession of second place on baseball's career strikeout list in the first inning when he fanned Mike Cameron. (article 1) Braun then clobbered an 0-1 pitch deep to left field, putting the Brewers ahead 2-1 with his 16th homer of the season. (article 1) The Brewers, who began the three-game series Tuesday with a 20-42 record at PNC Park, can sweep a series there for the first time since the ballpark opened in 2001 by winning Thursday. (article 4) Milwaukee had lost nine in a row on the road before the series began, only to win there for the second night in a row. (article 4) Weeks reached when first baseman Adam LaRoche misplayed his routine grounder and scored on Ryan Braun's triple, with Braun scoring on Hart's single. (article 4) Weeks hit his sixth homer with two out in the sixth against Ian Snell (2-3), who is winless in seven starts since April 12. (article 4) Sheets (5-1), the Brewers' ace, gave up 13 earned runs over 19 2-3 innings during his three previous May starts, losing once while getting two no-decisions. (article 4)
