'Shocked' Michael Johnson to return Olympic relay medal
Summary from multiple countries, from articles in English
During last month's trial involving former track coach Trevor Graham, Pettigrew came clean about using banned substances EPO and human growth hormone from 1997 to 2003. (article 3) The 40-year-old assistant track coach at North Carolina also accepted a two-year ban from track, though that point is largely symbolic given his age. (article 3) Antonio Pettigrew, Alvin and Calvin Harrison and Michael Johnson of the U.S.A. pose on the podium after winning gold in the mens 4x400-metre relay at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. (article 6) The International Olympic Committee's executive board will meet on Wednesday to announce the short list of finalists to host the 2016 Olympic Games. (article 1) Chicago is expected to advance to the next round of bidding today as the International Olympic Committee Executive Board announces a narrowed field of candidate cities for the 2016 Summer Games. (article 2) Graham is on trial after pleading not guilty to three charges of lying to federal agents about his relationship with Heredia. (article 9) This marked the first significant setback at trial for the federal government in its nearly five-year investigation stemming from the Bay Area Laboratory Co-Operative doping scandal. (article 4) Graham, who coached former star sprinters Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery, is the second person from the BALCO scandal to be convicted at trial. (article 4)
