The Oscar Nominees
Summary from United States, from articles in English
" I just saw a trailer for a movie called Made of Honor which stars Patrick Dempsey as a single man who's platonically close with a girlfriend, played by Michelle Monaghan. (article 1) As soon as she announces her engagement to another man, he realizes he's in love with her. (article 1) " Why do we keep seeing these types of movies in which we know the plot so well, the two good looking people who are destined to come together, even though they are attached to the wrong suitors? We know how these things are going to turn out. (article 1) Which films got the most nods? Who looks to be a front-runner? And, perhaps most importantly, who got snubbed? Thomson will address all of those issues and more. (article 3) Thomson, a movie critic at The Washington Post for 15 years, was raised in England where he was entranced, like most, by Hollywood movies. (article 3) It was a visit to see David Lean's " Lawrence of Arabia that made him realize movies had to be a part of his life. (article 4)
