Kobe Bryant leads Lakers to 87-81 win over Celtics in Game 3
Summary from multiple countries, from articles in English
Boston's Big Three shot awfully as did most of the Celtics, but the NBA s top-seeded team stayed competitive for much of the game thanks to a stark disparity in free throws. (article 28) The Lakers led by 11 points early but saw the Celtics come back to take the lead midway through the third quarter, at which point Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom had combined to score no field goals. (article 9) League MVP Kobe Bryant scored 36 points, had seven rebounds and played superb defense on the Celtics' Paul Pierce to help the Lakers avoid opening the series in an 0-3 hole. (article 7) The Celtics went into last night's game at the Staples Center needing two wins in three games to close the deal on Banner No. 17 in Los Angeles. (article 26) Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant led the way with 36 points as they beat the Boston Celtics 87-81 to win game three of the NBA finals. (article 6) The team that was favored to win the NBA Finals suddenly needs to win four of its next five games to make an implausible season stay that way. (article 10) Little-used reserve Leon Powe came off the bench to have the game of his career with 21 points in just 15 minutes for the Celtics. (article 2)
