Justin Morneau wins home run derby after awesome show by Josh Hamilton

(article 4) NEW YORK (AP) - Without a hometown star to cheer for in the Home Run Derby, fans at Yankee Stadium adopted Josh Hamilton. (article 2) In the month leading to Josh Hamilton's election and the days before his trip to New York for the All-Star Game, the autograph seekers have been omnipresent and interview requests have piled up. (article 8) The count started over in the final round, so Morneau won by outhitting Hamilton even though Hamilton hit 35 home runs on the evening and Morneau hit 22. (article 5) The Rev. Joseph Vetter performed the ceremony at Duke University Chapel in Durham, N.C. Mrs. Hamilton completed a residency last month in general dentistry at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
