Ebert and Roeper No Longer at the Movies

In a statement Monday Mr. Ebert wrote: " After 33 years on the air, 23 of them with Disney, the studio has decided to take the program named Siskel & Ebert and then Ebert & Roeper in a new direction. (article 4) Also on Monday The Associated Press reported that after eight seasons, Mr. Roeper would leave the show. (article 4) The famed film critic announced Monday that he is cutting ties with the nationally syndicated program he and the late critic Gene Siskel made famous, a day after Richard Roeper said he was quitting the show.
