The Welsh-born actor was questioned at a central London police station today over the incident which is thought to have taken place in his Dorchester Hotel suite on Sunday night. The complaint was then passed to the Metropolitan Police for further investigation A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: " A 34-year-old man attended a Central London police station this morning and was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. LONDON - Christian Bale today denied allegations of assault made by his mother and sister, hours after the star of `` The Dark Knight " was arrested, questioned by London police and released. The Welsh-born performer, 34, riding high as Hollywood's latest blockbuster film star, spent several hours at a London police station before being released without charge, his Los Angeles-based spokeswoman , Jennifer Allen, said. When asked if Bale had been arrested and released on bail, a police spokeswoman said: " A 34-year-old man has been bailed to return to a police station on a date in September. A giant Batmobile drove down the red carpet and flames shot into the sky at the European premiere of Dark Knight in London's Leicester Square.

Composer Lee Johnson, shown in June 2007 in the music department at LaGrange College in LaGrange, Ga., adapted Grateful Dead music for a classical score. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will present the world premiere of Dead Symphony No. 6 next Friday, the day the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia would have turned 66. The 50-minute performance will include a psychedelic light display, and approximately 2,000 Deadheads, as Grateful Dead fans are known, are expected to attend.

Microsoft is hoping to convert a new generation of gamers to its Xbox 360 console with features that allow owners to interact with one another via the internet and stream movies their TVs. At a video game trade show last year, Microsoft practically screamed its ambition to reach a billion consumers with this generation of video game consoles, partly by broadening its appeal to the sisters, the girlfriends and the moms of the world. REDMOND, Wash. Microsoft Corp. said it would sell TV shows and rent movies that can be downloaded through the software maker's Xbox Live online video-game service and beamed to television sets.

Despite her sitcom success with " The Golden Girls son Carl Gettleman told friends and family gathered at a private memorial service Thursday that his mother always chose frugal over flashy. Getty, who suffered from advanced dementia, died at about 5:30 A.M. Tuesday at her Hollywood Boulevard home, said her son, Carl Gettleman of Santa Monica. The Golden Girls, featuring four female retirees sharing a house in Miami, grew out of NBC programming chief Brandon Tartikoff's belief that television was ignoring its older viewers.
